Trucks

 Some friends and I had a good discussion about vehicles that mostly revolved around engines. My buddy who I think is a pretty smart guy, worked hard for a degree in chemical engineering, a guy who’s ideas I would listen to so ok. Anyways we were all talking about MPG and how they are coming out with all these new vehicles whose MPG were very high. Which is great and we all appreciate that but my buddy said they need to reinvent the engine. He goes on to say that today’s engines have so much energy that gets wasted like heat. If someone out there which I am sure someone has there is no way that I believe someone hasn’t thought of a new engine or source of power to run our cars, trucks. etc. To recreate an engine that uses all sources of energy that in turn would decrease the use of oil and increase a vehicles MPG. What are your opinions?
