Toyota Introduced The Car of Tomorrow

The Japanese automaker’s president compared it to a giant smartphone. The prototype will be showcased at the upcoming Tokyo Car Show, which starts next weekend. See the gallery.

The appearance of this “car of the future” is given as part of the efforts of the main Japanese automaker to take the industry’s technological leadership .

Toyota said at the exhibition in Tokyo, which will open next weekend, will also introduce an electric vehicle that will be released next year. This is in addition a smaller version of its Prius hybrid car, fuel and electricity used and whose Sales have been successful in the past.

In this sense, the Asian firm on Tuesday began taking orders for this new design plug-in Prius. It was after posting a mileage efficient and relatively affordable base price of 3.2 billion yen (equivalent to $ 41 000), which includes eco-car subsidies.

The “car of the future” works as a personal computer, which allows drivers to connect to dealers and others with just a finger touch on a panel in a door .

On the other hand, Toyota announced it will invest 265 million euros (U.S. $ 353 million) to reorganize production at its plants in the United Kingdom and Turkey. Something that allows you to create 1,900 jobs over the next two years .

The Japanese company will concentrate its manufacturing C-segment model hatchback body, both diesel and petrol engines and hybrids, in its British factory. Currently, the firm Nippon shares in that assembly plant variants with diesel and factory in Turkey.
