The Italian Connection: Engineering Faculty Hurdled Delorenzo Weeklong Training

Dr. Samir ElNakla, Dr. Lalitha G. Manohar, Engr. Kavitha V, Engr. Rolito V. Asuncion, and Mr. Sayed Moh’d Jalal of AMA International University-Bahrain’s (AMAIUB’s) College of Engineering (COE) Faculty recently completed a weeklong (July 15-19) technical training in DeLorenzo, Milan, Italy, conducted by DeLorenzo’s own project designer, Engr. Ferralasco Andrea.

The exciting training focused on three particular modules: electronic, electrical, and digital.

Electronic modules centered on Diode Applications, Semiconductor Devices, Transistor Characteristics, Operational Amplifiers, and Analog Communication.

Electrical modules dealt with DC Network Theorems , AC Circuits , and Power Electronics.

Digital modules zeroed in on Logic Gates, Digital Logic Design, Advanced Digital Logic Design, Memories, and Programmable Systems.

Also included was Trouble Shooting of assembled circuits, as well as Virtual Simulation.

Fresh from their Italian connection, the aforesaid COE faculty have started to establish work teams to synthesize and translate their technical training insights and experiences into equally challenging student-friendly classroom applications.

Kudos to the COE mentors and to Asso. Dean Aileen Caday, who, I know, greatly helped to make the event  happen!

AMAIUB COE Asso. Dean, Dr. Aileen Caday.

Dr. Lalitha Manohar, with faculty colleagues Engr. Sumeetha G. and Dr. Rose A.

Engr. Rolito Asuncion
