The Best F2P Mining Guide for RuneScape

Mining is a skill that allows you to get ore from rocks and as you level up better quality ore can be mined as well as the time required decreases. Also better quality pickaxes can be used.

It is reccomended that you train smithing along with mining as it makes use of the ore you produce.

Level 1 – 10

In the Lumbridge swamps, you can mine tin and copper(14 of each) and running back and smelting it to bronze and then banking the bars. Repeat this process till you reach level 10 

Level 10 – 30

Follow above process till level 15. Then go to Falador and then go to the mines there(near the party hall) the scorpians will attack you if you are notof high enough level. So run away from them and the you will reach a rarely used place with 4 iron mines. Keep on mining them till bag is full and return to bank. You may also finish quests as some of them give good mining experiance. THis process should get you to level 30 in no time. You can also mine rune essence(slower but easier) and do something till your bag fills up

Level 30 – 50

In the lumbridge swamps, follow the river till you reach the second mining spot which is full or coal, adamant and mithril ores. For now you have to mine only coal ores till you reach level 55 

On reaching levl 55, you can mine mithril and adamant at 65. The mining guild opens at level 60 which is the best way to train due to the nearness of a bank.
