The Airpod is a brand new type of car that is powered completely by compressed air. This means that there are no emmisons making it the cleanest car in the world. Even in the most stop start Traffic jams, the Airpod costs less than a penny per mile. Despite being powered by air , it still manages a respectable 30 mph.

To fill up your “fuel tank”, you use an air pump not unlike those used to pump up your cars tires. The tank of an Airpod carries 200 litres of compressed air. On a single tank of air, you can travel a whopping 125 miles. Despite the size of the tank, it still only takes 2 minutes to fill up from empty which is a lot faster than its eco-friendly counterpart , the electric car. Even better than this, as well as filling up at a conventional air pump, you can also have a built in air compressor to fill up the tank overnight with the air around you.

As well as a new style of engine and looks of the car, it also has a revamped steering mechanism, a joystick. The Airpod already has over 100,000  pre-orders, and is expected to be released to the UK sometime in 2012.
