Technology is a wonderful thing. I use it every day of my life. From switching on a light in my room, to unlocking a door, technology is present. According to Wikipedia, technology is ‘a broad concept that deals with human as well as other animal species’ usage and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how it affects a species’ ability to control and adapt to its environment.’

The amazing thing about technology is that it evolves, or changes over time. Currently, humans are not using wagons to haul around huge stone blocks. They use a truck (usually) and pay someone ELSE to do it for them. The truck is an example of evolving technology. From chariots, to carriages, to steam powered vehicles, to gas powered vehicles, and finally to today’s incredibly powerful cars, trucks, motorcycles and the occasional hybrid vehicle, which are a huge leap forward in human technology.

The extent of technology in my home is absurd. Why, if technology wasn’t used to build it, it would not exist! From the lighting, to the painting, to the cement blocks that compose its structure, technology is present. Not to mention the plumbing and electric outlets.

When most people think of technology, the first thing that probably comes into their heads is a computer, or an AGM-65 Maverick, Fire-and-Forget tactical missile, intended for close air to ground support. J But, seriously, if the military did not have extremely advanced technology, it would not be able to keep our country safe. (I’m talking about the US military….NOT the Ghanaian one) And as a final note, if I was not able to use any technology, you would not be reading this…..think about that…
