Stunning Shuttle Footage
However you might have imagined this experience to be – and every one of us has wondered about that at some point – nothing can perpare you for this awesome reality show.
Whatever you are currently busy with, stop for a breather and take in the majesty of these incredible shots, released by NASA, of the first stage of a shuttle lift-off into orbit. Shot from on-board the Space Shuttle’s Solid Rocket Boosters in past times, but now beautifully re-mastered with stunning soundtrack added.
Not only was this amazing footage shot in high definition – giving an exceptionally clear image, but the audio was re-mastered by the genius technicians over at Skywalker Sound the final product absolutely fabulous.

Michael Interbartolo, former Mission Control worker on the Shuttle Program in Houston, proclaimed this video to be a real achievement. However you might have imagined this experience to be – and every one of us has wondered about that at some point – nothing can prepare you for this awesome reality show.
Shot from the Solid Rocket Booster perspective up and down with enhanced sound, getting a grip on the things you will be witnessing takes a while to sink in. Those numbers flying past in the upper right hand corner, believe it or not, represent the tremendous airspeed of the Shuttle, and that gleam of light against the inky space backdrop at 2:08 and 3:11 minutes respectively is the Shuttle continuing on its flight path into low Earth orbit.
Those strange and eerie rattling, haunting moans, and weird dinosaur noises are the sounds made by a Solid Rocket Booster, falling to Earth from an altitude of 150,000 ft, so sit back and relax for what will be the ride of your life. A truly stunning release from NASA, and perhaps for all of us a taste of things to come for future generations.
