Neil Armstrong Dies At 82
The first man to ever step foot on the moon has died today.
The news has been going around that Neil Armstrong has died today due to complications from a cardiovascular surgery.
Neil Armstrong was heavily praised by his family who described him as a “reluctant American hero”. His family said that they were heartbroken after hearing the news, they said Neil Armstrong had served his nation proudly as a navy fighter pilot, test pilot and astronaut.
“While we mourn the loss of a very good man, we also celebrate his remarkable life and hope that it serves as an example to young people around the world to work hard to make their dreams come true, to be willing to explore and push the limits, and to selflessly serve a cause greater than themselves,” said Neil’s family in a statement.
On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and his fellow Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon in front of hundreds of millions of amazed television viewers around the world; An whopping 600 million viewers were estimated to have seen Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin land on the moon.
Neil Armstrong was a very motivational man in world history, especially for Americans. May Neil Armstrong rest in peace.

The world has lost another legend. Neil Armstrong will always be a hero. May he rest in peace. This is a very good tribute in honor of the space legend.

And to think I got a chance to see him in person that summer of 1969, so it must have been early August. Surreal feeling to see three men who had visited another planet in the motorcade in Chicago. Yes, he was and is a legend and is already missed. Good tribute.

very nice. He will be missed. I started to this title and at first I came thinking of Neil Diamond but he’s got to be younger.

Neil Armstrong’s feat, along with his fellow astronauts who stepped on the moon, was a man who experienced something that I believe writing cannot ever fully capture. If one had heard him speak of his journey to the moon, but had not known that he had gone to the moon, it would have seemed as though he was speaking nonsense, at least in my opinion. Perhaps that is one reason why he often refused to do interviews.
