Iran Urges Global Nuclear Disarmament, National Security Council (SNSC) Iran, has called for new initiatives for nuclear disarmament (denuclearization) around the world.
Iran Urges Global Nuclear Disarmament,It is proposed Supreme SNSC Secretary, Saeed Jalili, during his meeting with former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama in Tehran on Sunday (8/4).
“Regarding the strong demand of the international community for global denuclearization, a new universal measures should be launched to disarm nuclear powers, particularly the United States,” said Saeed.

Saeed added that Iran and Japan have an interest in shares and certain positions, which work together for expansion of mutual relations.
On that occasion, was also appointed Secretary of the SNSC technical achievements of Iran in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, including the production of fuel for the Tehran Research Reactor. Saeed stated that his country is ready to cooperate with Japan in the field of nuclear safety.
Yukio, who is the senior diplomatic adviser of the Democratic Party of Japan, praised Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and called for expansion of ties with Tehran.
As we all know Washington and some allies accuse Iran’s nuclear activities that include the manufacture of atomic weapons. So based on such allegations, which the West has imposed sanctions on Tehran.
Iran has repeatedly denied Western accusations, arguing that as a member of the IAEA and a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
