I Spy What’s in Your Eye? Contact Lenses

Vision correction with contact lenses for wider field of vision offers freedom from the weather affecting your corrective prescription, practicality, improved personal appearance and also for vanity purposes. Contacts that are non-prescription but instead meant to change the color of the eye entirely. Sometimes, shockingly so!

Contacts Lenses to Better See You With

Be they corrective, cosmetic or even therapeutic in nature, the contact lens is a marvel invention. Freeing its wearer from the hassles of not only poor vision but the wearing of glasses. Placed upon the cornea of the eye, the contact lens has the ability to affect the focal length of light passing through them, thus repairing the out-of-focus image. The improved range of vision is superlative, -no more frames to interfere with your vision!

An estimated 125 million people use contact lenses. That is about 2% of the entire population of the planet.

Spooky Eyes

Virtually invisible when worn, vision- correction contact lenses perform the same corrective action as glasses. Many brands of contact lenses are actually not 100% crystal clear but instead, are purposefully given a slight bluish tint to make them more visible when soaking in the cleaning solution, or if dropped to the floor. A fairly recent fad is contact lenses that are not just for vision correction, but also to actually augment or completely change the color on the wearer’s eyes. Brown eyes are more brown, blue eyes can be come more blue, -or a completely different color. The vanity contact lenses such as the ones shown above are for Hollywood movie creations, but I have seen these for sale in novelty shops as well. Since there is no ‘eye exam’ involved as they are not for vision correction, they are merely a ‘costume’ effect.

Parasites in the Eye? Parasite with MANY eyes?

There is something inherintly spooky about eyes that have unnatural colors. Or unnatural numbers of eyes…

I like this photo; -the eyes on this tiny spider are so scary they don’t even look real! I don’t really like spiders anyway but the dark globes and so many of them! Brr! Could you image this freaky thing running down the sidewalk chasing after the kids? Argghh! My worst nightmare!

REAL Parasites in the Eyes

I found this video about a person that had a REAL parasite get into his eyes, -rather upsetting. It is important to clean your contacts with the proper cleaning solutions and not try to ‘make your own’ from impure water and salt. Parasites in the water that would otherwise be harmless, can be quite dangerous when introduced to the eye and held in place by the contact lens.

You’re Going to Want some Anime Hair To Go With Those Eyes, Sweetheart!

Anime Hair Color, -of course! If you are going to punk-out your eyes with vampy cartoon colors, you should do your hair, too. I think the image on the box looks a bit like Wilma Flintstone, except her had was red I believe. Clearly though she is wearing contact lenses, eh?

The Future of Vision

Micro electronics could revolutionize the information world as we know it today. Special contact lenses could display a ‘heads-up device’ that plays videos, displays maps like a GPS allowing the wearer to navigate completely and literally ‘hands free.’

Or sitting in your favorite coffee house under a ‘optical hot spot’ like WiFi, you can watch the local news quietly, in peace. Earphones sold separately.

Hopefully, these internet-enabled devices will be spam-free and not have anything like ‘viruses’ or that most cursed “blue screen of death.” And no ‘pop-up’ or ‘pop-under’ advertisements, please! Time will tell.

Was wondering whether you may be one writer who earns more than one dollar per month here? If so, could you please write an article about it.

Your articles seem to end up on the Hot Content list. Mr. Stickman, is there a magic bullet to Triond, or are you doing this for fun, a hobby or for the heck of it?

    Thanks bud . j

I generally don’t respond to ‘how much do you earn’ requests and that isn’t what you’ve asked me so I will respond. Maybe I could write an article to help others along. I see *many articles* about ‘how to write for Triond’ sometimes from users that have only been here for like a month or less and that, to be honest, does not impress me. I doubt if *my advice* for the 4 1/2 months that I have been here is really study-worthy. So why should I trust someone whom has been ‘writing for Triond’ for just one week?
I don’t take advice from people whose experience is substantially unproven however it is clear that they READ that advice from other users (or the Triond FAQ section, which they do have one and I study it fervently) and more-or-less re-worded it. The advice is therefore sound and valid, -albeit, copied.

Right there is a big clue.

I have been here since mid-July of this year, am STILL learning what works but can with some degree of ease land an article on top 30, sometimes, top-10 if I am lucky, for maybe an hour’s work. One of my best, most profitable stories took me 20-minutes to write, start-to-submit.
Some days are better than others; -I might earns just nickels and dimes for total, some days I ‘jump’ by a dollar+ for that day. A good article can do substantially better that even that.
I am no writer, this is just ‘a hobby.’ But first canon of writing should be correct spelling and grammar. I make mistakes sometimes, but I DO try to use a spell checker at least. And write facts. There is nothing worse than a story with incorrect facts. I could cite a few, -but that is not my venue here.

My biggest amazement is that sometimes a article submitted weeks or even months ago can enjoy a second resurrection in views/hits. I have had several stories now earn a few dollars then drop to just a half-dozen views per day for a month+. Then suddenly, interest takes off again and I start getting several hundred views per day (or hour!) for no reason… I have had maybe four articles do this so far, and one is doing it right now again. Royalties are an awesome thing. I just need to get my content and quality up there a bit higher.
