Where Do Rubber Bands Come From?
This is an interesting process through which rubber bands made.
One of the biggest rubber plantations is in the northwestern part of Malaysia. The tropical area is used to plant all sorts of tropical food, but also rubber plant. The barks of the rubber plants are cut diagonally down, which are five millimeters deep. From such cut, each tree produces about fifty grams white blood, which is poured into a bucket; the white liquid is also known as latex.

The next process is in which the latex turns into rubber. The latex is shipped to a factory nearby. The first step in which they remove all the leaves and particles is called purifying. After they are purified, they are fermented in tubs with acids for approximately ten hours to stultify. After around ten hours of bathing in acids, the latex will turned into its solid form. They squeeze out all the liquids inside the latex, with a simple rolling machine. When the latex will go through two rolling machines, then the latex is shredded, and heated in some type of weird oven for thirty minutes. When heated, the latex will form into such like sponge and will need by be compressed with a plastic bag and an air sucker.
The latex will be shipped to many westernized factories, for such purposes like making rubber. In Arkansas, the Lion Brothers, have created a rubber factory. The latex is not strong enough to be turned into rubber right away, so it goes through a process called vulcanization in the rubber factory. In such process the latex goes through a chemical reaction with heat, sulfur and other chemicals, which are the company’s secret.
After vulcanization the rubber is heated to 120 Celsius and is rolled with a tube, which makes the rubber look like a hose, when it comes out. After the rubber is turned into what looks like a hose, they are cut. A factory machine cuts rubber into about one thousand rubber band per one minute.
The rubber bands aren’t ready to be shipped yet, they must go through an inspection check and they go through an expensive machine, which checks their strength. After they go through its strength check, they are ready to be shipped. This is how most rubber bands are produced and brought to YOUR hands!
