Very informative. I’ve seen these mostly on UPS shipping labels. I was not aware they had so many functions.

Perhaps we’ll all be tattooed with these between now and 2012 as the mark of the beast. LOL Just kidding! Please, people, do not start a wave of “left behind” rumours. It’s a joke.

Anyway, this is actually one of the more interesting pieces I’ve read in awhile.

Well, check out GS1, the organization behind the traditional barcodes: they recently adopted the QR Code as one of the 2d barcodes (together with Datamatrix) to replace the traditional one.
