Largest Worm in The World

Have you ever asked yourself what the largest worm in the world looks like?

I remembered my girl classmate back in my grade school years screaming over an earthworm in his shovel during our gardening class when I saw an earthworm in our garden which scared my nephew. I was comforting him when a thought came into my mind. If this small worm could scare a huge creature like human, how frightening would it be if the garden worm is so huge?

Have you ever asked yourself what the largest worm in the world looks like?

Some may think that there’s no such thing as largest earthworm but there is and it is really surprising how large it is.

The photo may look like a snake but it’s really a worm.

The largest earthworm is the African Giant earthworm which is also scientifically known as  Microchaetus rappi which belongs to the family of Microchaetidae.

From the name itself, of course, African Giant earthworm was found in Africa, in South Africa to be more specific. It was recorded to measure up and over 22 feet and can reach the weight of over 1.5 kg. or 3.1 pounds.

Would you dare touch this huge worm?
