Inventions We Could All Use

Here are some inventions that may already be on the “drawing board,” but some may already be in use.I was pressed for time on this article, so I’m sure I’ll have a sequel.

I never pursued it, but I always believed that there is always some gadget or invention to improve on a situation. For example: How about a heated mouse ? What about a heated toilet seat? I am sure there are a lot of other ideas that have been addressed; and applied for the situations that inconvenience us, so the ideas I think are original – have alredy been taken.

Say you were an electrician. How about self leveling mud rings? Or if you have a “cold streak,” a heated mouse pad? Or for that matter, just a heated computer desk?

I’m sure the heated toilet seat has already been done by someone, but what about the heated mouse pad? (I mean come on – I’m old, so I get cold easily!).

How about the water powered car? Laugh all you want, I had that idea in high school (1984), and my physics teacher was with me on this. Think about it. All you need to do is separate the hydrogen and oxygen from water. All you need is a cheap battery charger, and when you apply a small voltage (not current), the hydrogen can be isolated and used as the fuel for the engine. Of course you would most likely need to make a few adjustments to your engine, but is it REALLY that far fetched?

That’s all for now, but I have a bunch more, and I am working on a few of them. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned!

To: Steven Hays: That’s the difference between them and GOD. God doesn’t think he’s an petroleum company!

The reason we do not use hydrogen powered cars instead of fossil fuel is quite simple. When you isolate the hydrogen molecules you lose some energy to heat, and other small things. Because we do not have enough renuable clean energy sources, we would actually be using more fossil fuels and other “dirty” energy sources. So we would create more pollution which is a main reason why we used the hydrogen cars in the first place.
The only way that we can use hydrogen cars effectivly with less pollution is to create more renuable clean energy sources (solar power, hydropower, wind power, ect) But this process takes a lot of time which is why you do not see that many hydrogen cars.

Brett, VERY GOOD POINT. I would relate the same idea to the vacuum tube.Too much energy lost to heat. Then of course the transistor, and so on. What if we could apply the same principles in dealing with the energy loss? I’ll have to dust off the old chemistry books to research this.
    Thanks for the input.
