The sun is the main source of energy. Human beings and animals relies on plant as source of energy while the plants get energy from the sun to make their own food. We use energy for different purposes and we have different sources for it,

Fossil fuel is one of our energy source. Fossil fuel either in the form of coal or petroleum came from the remains of dead animals and plants. When animals or plants die, their bodies could possibly be buried on the ground. The energy on their bodies gets lock up. With great heat and pressure over millions of years, these animal and plant remains will become fuel.

Bio fuels are also in use. Bio fuels where maid from the waste of animals such as pigs and chickens. It is treated, and use as a source of energy.

Energy can also be acquired from running water and wind. To control the flow of water, dams where built onto it. The flowing water will move the turbines in the dam and will produce electricity. This is what we called hydro electric energy.

Wind is also a good source of energy. Windmills are powered by winds and are used to pump water and produce electricity.

There are also energy that come from the inside of the Earth and from the nucleus of an atom. A Power plants can probably be built in places that has many hot springs. This power plant also produce a great amount of electricity. This is called Geothermal Energy.
