Technology
Are we too dependent on it?
Technology is getting ridiculously outrageous.
In the news today were cyborg type designs that are meant to be worn on eye pieces.

I fully understand people want convenience and efficiency but come on,
didn’t you get hassled enough wearing those bulky metal mouth braces growing up?
(I’m sure you recall them, we all know someone who wore them, or maybe we wore them, but we all hated them. Admit it)
Not to mention, people with glasses are stigmatized enough.
Why add something so attention garnering to the mix?
I have come to believe people rely way too much on the latest gadgets and gizmos.
If you are a tech buff, please don’t be offended by this article.
I am simply expressing my thoughts that we sometimes tend to go overboard with technology.
Technology can be a double edged sword, It can help in many ways but it can also be detrimental.
In essence I am saying, we need to put a leash on it.
Technology is making us as a society ever lazier.
If we are not careful within a few short years
we will be so dependent on technology that we will have forgotten how to function without it.
If you don’t believe me, look around you we are already headed in that direction.
As I have previously stated in prior articles I am not suggesting we go back to the stone age.
I am simply suggesting we use our technology wisely and not just because we are too lazy to do something for ourselves.
Modern conveniences have caused a major percentage of society
(especially young generations) to take for granted what people used to work hard for.
It is sad to see good things taken for granted,
I hope this wakes at least a few people up.

Great article. After the 2005 hurricanes, it was amazing how many people were “helpless” because they were without electricity. (I’m talking about perfectly able bodied people here). We got hit pretty hard, but the media always tends to embelish natural disaters. I likened the experience to camping out. A person tends to get creative when you take away the TV, and have to do for yourself.

As long as the older generation keep taking the younger generation on camping trips we should be okay. Teach them how to amuse themselves when the ipod battery dies, how to cook on a fire, how to make a fire, simple things can be fun for while! I like modern conveniences but I could survive without them too. Nice article!
