Gujarat has decided to allocate 1500 hectares of land in the desert. Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation will create infrastructure for the “Solar Park”. Clinton Foundation Proposed a Solar thermal Power Project of 5000 MW; Kutch offers the best Solar Radiation. Gujarat is the first state came out of such Mega project towards Solar Renewable Energy.

Further the solar mission under the National Action Plan get a Nod by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He actually wants to achieve 20,000 MW by 2020.  Along the Atomic Regulatory Commission a separate regulatory authority will be created for Solar Energy.
