A Real Life Jurassic Park: Science in Dubai

This is not so much science fact as it is a fact of money. In Dubai, there is an abundance of it and now they are spending over $1 Billion dollars to create a real life Jurassic Park.

Over the past ten years, Dubai has been growing into the definitive place to go for the jetsetter, celebrity and millionaire. With clientele of such a discerning taste, they have unique ways to tap their bottomless pockets. The next such venture will be the creation of “Restless Planet”, modeled after the Jurassic Park concept of Hollywood fame.

As can be understood, all of the plans are very confidential but the creators are starting a buzz by telling the world a little about their concept. They want it to be both “scary” and “realistic.” They also want it to be massive so that the visitors will feel as if they are lost in a dinosaur jungle. At over half a million square feet, this shouldn’t be a problem.

Robo-saurs have visited and toured the United States for a few years now and for those that have seen them, yes they are certainly impressive. But seeing one from a seat in a theater or arena is far different then exploring an environment and having these larger than life creatures stalk you. They will be made with a combination of robotics, computers and special effects. With producers from the BBC’s Walking with Dinosaurs and the finest makers of Japanese robotics, the world will be in for a treat.

Oh, and by the way, it will be part of an amusement center called “City of Arabia” that is somehow modeled between a theme park and Las Vegas. Wow.
