Alternatives to Oil and Coal with Current Tech
Cleaner Alternatives to Oil or Coal.
1. Nuclear Fission
Nuclear Reactor’s deliver clean, cheap and lots of power. The only problem is radioactive waste. However it has been successfully used in France where 70% of the power comes from Nuclear Sources. Also the technology for Nuclear Fission is already developed and in use. I would suggest building the Nuclear Reactor’s underground. If there was an accident the radioactivity would be contained. Therefore stopping contamination.

2. Geothermal
The United States has large Geothermal Energy Potential. Underneath Yellowstone National Park is a Super Volcano that explodes once ever 700 million years or so. We could trap that energy and use if for energy. Even though Geothermal is not everywhere it can be successfully used to create power in places. Iceland already uses it to deliver cheap hot water to it’s citizen’s.

3. CNG Compressed Natural Gas
The Technology is currently available and is already in common use in Brazil. Compressed Natural Gas is cheaper and more fuel efficient than normal Gasoline. Compressed Natural Gas cost’s 30% to 60% less than normal gas. The only thing’s impeding the use of Natural Gas is the lack of pipelines and cost of converting from Petrol to Natural Gas in the engine.

4. Compressed Air Engine
Instead of exploding petro in the piston, compressed air is forced in to drive the piston. Compressed Air can be used to drive a car to a good speed of around 50 MPH. It is already in use in India as a cheap economical vehicle for the poor in India.
5. Biofuels are a Failure
Did you know that if you converted the entire United States grain stock you would only get 16% of it’s auto fuel needs. Biofuel’s are not reliable enough to power the nation.fue
