"Nile River" Flows on Saturn’s moon.
The 250 mile long feature, measured from the so-called headwaters to a large sea, is the longest extra-terrestrial river ever to be discovered and so well imaged. In comparison, the Nile is 4,132 miles long.
Scientists encouraged by their success with Curiosity rover’s expedition at Mars is now thinking about a similar journey to Titan, the largest moon of Saturn. SENER, a private engineering and technology group in collaboration with Spain’s Centro de Astrobiologia wants to take the initiative. The expedition to Titan will be held in three stages and last six months to a year.
So huge this universe, it’s hard to believe we the earth dwellers only enjoy its beauty.
Titan is far too cold for Earth-like life but rich in biological building blocks, the thick atmosphere largely made up of nitrogen, containing abundant organic compounds, like that of Earth.
