There are over 100 poisonous frogs in the world but the most deadliest and best know of them all is the poison dart frog. The poison dart frog has been used by tribes people for hunting animals for the last few centuries, rubbing their dart tips off the frogs’ skin. The venom from one of these darts could kill a man in seconds, and each of these frogs holds enough venom to kill 10-20 men.
The Southern Cassowary may not be as much of a household name as its cousins the Ostrich and the Emu, but even though it is classified as “only” the third largest bird on the planet it has a less welcome claim to fame. Take a look at officially the most dangerous bird on the planet.
The Philippine tarsiers are one of the smallest primates in the world but own the largest eyes. In their diminutive physical make up, they appear benign and lovely. Sad to know, they are now endangered, but people love to capture these humble and submissive animals in order to keep them as pets.
This is no Muppet, it is a Poison Dart Frog. Formerly called the Poison Arrow Frog, native to South and Central America. Brilliantly colored and patterned! But touch not these frogs, for they are death. They secrete a toxin that can make predators and people ill if they tough them. Some varieties are so toxic, a touch or taste can stop the heart.
