Astrophysicists have made a unique discovery, found in the Taurus constellation of stars around the protoplanetary warm water vapor. Previously, scientists had anything like this was not observed.
The researchers made the spectral analysis of the radiation of dozens of stars. Information was collected with a modern spectrometer PACS, which is located on the space observatory “Herschel”, developed by the European Space Agency and launched into orbit in 2009. Record the scientists were able to steam in six cases.
"Education of the planets – one of the most important unsolved problems in modern astrophysics," – writes Rafael Millan-Gabet and John Monnier, from a story that our understanding of this process may soon all changed. The source of this change can serve as a new generation of telescopes – along with new methods of surveillance that will observe the formation of planets "in action".
