Buckyballs, or buckyball bukiboly – molecular compounds belonging to the class allotropic forms of carbon and which are closed convex polyhedron composed of an even number of carbon atoms trehkoordinirovannyh. Fullerenes were discovered in the late eighties of the last century and the concept of magnetic carbon was new and very exciting. It was known that fullerenes can be formed in nature during a lightning strike, but they’re easier to get in the lab than to collect from the environment.
