This is my challenge to the term ‘just a blob of cells’. The cell is an underappreciated marvel of engineering design. Rocket scientists could never have designed such a thing. Geneticists have been trying for decades to duplicate it. I think it is high time we stop taking our 100 trillion cells for granted and give the designer some recognition.
