The nucleus of a cell contains chromatin and a nucleolus. It is bounded by a porous nuclear envelope.
This is my challenge to the term ‘just a blob of cells’. The cell is an underappreciated marvel of engineering design. Rocket scientists could never have designed such a thing. Geneticists have been trying for decades to duplicate it. I think it is high time we stop taking our 100 trillion cells for granted and give the designer some recognition.
Where did the modern human race come from? Did we really come from Africa as the species that we are, or did we develop from such other hominids as Neanderthals and Homo Erectus?
This article describes what DNA is, how it is collected and tested under forensic situations, and how the information is presented and used in court. It is a relatively easy-to-understand format for lay people.
