Since 2004, Aedes albopictus took up residence in southern France. Particularly harmful, this mosquito can transmit to humans diseases such as dengue or chikungunya. In 2010, four indigenous cases have been identified in France. To stand in the way these diseases, the Ministry for Health has just activated its plan for vector control.
