It has been estimated that if sea levels rose no more than 26 feet, senators of the future would travel from the Capitol by boat to visit the White House!
This article is based on my observations on the Monarch butterflies. I have seen them along the milk weeds. They lay their eggs, feed and pupate on the milk weed plants.
I have taken photographs of their eggs, larvae, pupa and the emerging butterfly.
Intriguingly, a similar mass extinction has ushered in the reign of the dinosaurs. Indeed, over the last 600 million years of life on earth, there seems to have been a cataclysmic change roughly every 60 to 70 million years, and smaller changes roughly every 30 million.
The Holocene extinction event is killing species at 100 times the rate of normal extinction patterns but is a term that most people have not heard of.
