Ways to Reduce The Health Impact of Your Cell Phone (And Other Electronics)

Wireless technology is all around us. And we can’t even simply avoid it—microwaves don’t need our permission to pass through our world and be absorbed by our bodies. But while some exposure is beyond our control, we do have control over many ways we are unnecessarily over-exposed to electromagnetic fields.

The following list of tips is compiled from advice from front-line researchers Dr. Magda Havas, Ph.D., of Trent University in Ontario, Canada, Dr. Vini Khurana, neurosurgeon and noted cancer specialist, as well as Dr. Carrie Hyman, journalist Marcia Zina Mager, and Dr. Joseph Mercola, board certified physician and natural health expert. (To read about the emerging international research of more than 2,000 studies linking wireless signals to health problems, click here to read ”Why is The U.S. Reacting Differently Than Other Governments to Cell Phone Risk Study Results?”)

These researchers and doctors concerned about the documented health effects in every long-term study give advice that may at first seem conflicting. However, what your seeing is a continuum of choices; some researchers are more adamant than others about how drasticly you must change your life/society. Others take a more incremental approach by advising small ways to order your home and personal world differently.

1.      Choose wired connections rather than wireless ones as much as possible.

  • Use a corded telephone (A cordless phone emits less EMF (but not by much) than a cell phone. The key to relative protection is a cord that contains the signals, rather than letting them loose in the atmosphere of your home.)
  • Have only wired internet service in your home–not Wi-Fi

2.      If you use a cell phone, use it wisely.

  • Greatly reduce your use.
  • Use it only rarely or for emergencies.
  • Use the speaker mode.
  • Use the text feature to avoid putting the unit to your head.
  • Do not use a conventional wired headset, because that acts as an antennae, tripling radiation directly to the brain. (Do not use Blue Tooth)
  • Use earpieces with a shield on the wire connected to the hand unit, such as the Blue Tube headset. (Its combination of a shielded wire and air-tube makes it function like a stethoscope, converting to actual sound waves)
  • Keep an in-use cell phone as far from your body as possible.
  • Do not store your cell phone on your body unless it is turned off.
  • Avoid using phones in any moving vehicle, or where signals are weak, because it exposes you to a stronger signal required to maintain connection.
  • Do no use extra features on the phone, like video streaming or other internet-supported activity. The more capabilities the phone has, the greater the bandwidth used and radiation emitted.
  • Never sleep with or near your phone; recharge it somewhere outside your bedroom, or at least six  feet from you (even through a wall)

3.      Fortify your immune system with a highly nutritional, organic diet (70% percent vegetables and fruits). Your immune system feels under attack when it perceives invading frequencies. Give your body the best nutrition to do the work of continually try to rectify its nervous system and immune system functions.
