Suspected German Time Travel Machine Was Destroyed by Churchill Troops
A retired officer of the British Army and Intelligence has stated that during World War two a joint British/American venture destroyed a possible Time Machine created by German scientists.
Does time travel exist?
It is a question carefully poised on every scientist’s lips and those of the world who have imagination. Just what would the implications be for mankind? How would time travel alter the world we know today?
One such question was on the lips of British and American Intelligence during World War 2. According to one retired officer connected with Secret Intelligence Organisations during the second world war believes the Germans were “on to something quite disturbing”.
The gentleman, who is now in his late 80s, says that he was part of a special force who were instructed by Churchill and the US government during World War 2 to “seek out and disable” a possible time machine created by German scientists.
The story has come to light after the former intelligence officer divulged information to his daughter. She also wishes to remain anonymous through fear of possible repercussions and ridicule.

According to the former special agent, a crack team of British and US special forces were “smuggled” deep into enemy territory in late 1944 and to an area a few miles from Berlin. Their mission was to seek out a hidden German research base and destroy a piece of equipment that was suggested could alter time.
Despite there being no evidence backing this story, the Germans were well ahead of the Allies when it came to experimental research and technology. Such devices as teleportation, cloaking devices and anti-gravity devices were understood to have been researched by German scientists during World War 2.
The officer believes the Germans were indeed onto something.
“The British and United States took such rumours very seriously”, claims the former agent. “We dare not leave any stone unturned and the prospect of Hitler altering time was extremely alarming to say the least. Therefore we had no alternative but to destroy this secret base and what ever it was inside.”
The gentleman dismissed reports that it was the Allies intention to “steal” or capture the equipment – if indeed it existed.
“Of course there were many discussions between Churchill and his staff over this very sensitive subject”, says the former officer. “But the question nobody dare answer was what if Britain or the United States tempted to use such a piece of equipment themselves?”
The decision was taken to seek out and destroy at all costs the time machine rumoured to be only a few miles from where Hitler was located. The team sent was believed to have consisted of only twelve men – seven British, four American and one Canadian. All were highly trained members of the military and specialised in location, infiltration and sabotage techniques. Every member was also a deadly marksman and held no fear.

Did Churchill suspect the Germans had a real life Time Machine?
The Germans were reported to be very advanced in technology during the war. They were only a couple of years off several pieces of equipment that would have brought victory to the Germans. The British and the Americans knew this and were thankful the allied invasion paid off.
Frightening future
“If Germany had invented such a monstrosity during the war, then the implications for mankind would have been dire”, claims the former officer. “No doubt we would all be under Nazi rule now if Hitler had managed to alter time.”
Time travel has always been heavily debated by scientists including former genius Albert Einstein and present theoretical physicists including the renowned Professor Stephen Hawking.
Professor Stephen Hawking debates Time Travel
One physics expert claims that altering time would open up numerous paradox situations – the implications of each one having a definite and possibly damaging effect on the world we know today.
“Messing with time would be detrimental to the world and physical universe as we know it”, he claims. “To me, whilst the possibility of time travel being achievable many years from now, it is best left as a fantasy for science fiction writers the world over.”

Time Travel is one of my favorite topics. And this was well researched and well written. Thank you for sharing.
Some have suggested that the NAZI Bell project may have been a time travel experiment, and that at least one time jump may have been successful before the Allies shut them down.
December 9, 1965 at Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, USA, the UFO case known as the Kecksburg UFO incident occurred. Before government officials stepped in witnesses reported finding an object in the shape of an acorn and about as large as a Volkswagen Beetle. It’s description fairly matches that of the supposed NAZI Bell. Could it be that before this Ally team got there, the Nazis successfully sent this bell shaped craft through time to 1965, only to have it crash at Kecksburg? If so then in 1965 the US military acquired this particular time traveling technology, if they didn’t already have it.

Fascinating. Well, I’m not much into time travel but who knows! I suppose anything is possible. Good article. Let us not forget that rockets to the moon were sci-fi just a few short years ago. There is nothing fiction about it now. I enjoyed reading this.

Wondering when the Kaiser will drop out of time warp and demand an explanation of where/when he is

So if the Nazis landed in Europe now they’d find Germany in-charge and all the other countries indited too them.
Job done!!

Interesting. A few more facts about the raid would be useful.

This is the stuff where dreams are made of! Excellent article. Blogged it here: http://historicalmysterywriter.blogspot.com/2011/10/suspected-german-time-travel-machine.html

Still sounds like sci-fi to me. Time travel would just be another way for mankind to play God, and history has proven that similar attempts were frowned upon.

If we “looted” a time traveling machine why didn’t we just use it?

Wow this is fascinating! Leaves me wondering what would have happened if we did indeed have a time machine… Keep up the great writing!

Nice article; it reminded me of the movie Back to the Future. Is it really possible for scientists to alter time?

I, for one, do not believe in “time travel’. Mainly due to the inevitable paradox mentioned in the article, which would result in chaos. I, rather, believe that time is the measure by which we keep a perspective on events past while we deal with the present and hope for the future. However, if I’m ever proven wrong, I’ll gladly eat my words. Mmmm…pass the salt, please…
