Samantha Carter of Stargate SG-1 is a role model. Ph.D. She is very dedicated to her duty to her country. She has worked in her field of science as well as in leadership roles. She has been the leader on numerous projects. She has had her hand running SG-1 and the Atlantis Projects and Stargate Command. She can be relied on doing what is necessary for the greatest success of the project.
To get to where she is, Samantha Joined the Air Force and attended the Air Force Academy and received a Ph.D. in Astrophysics with extensive knowledge in quantum mechanics*. She worked closely on the Stargate Project with Colonel Jack O’Neill and Dr. Daniel Jackson. Working closely with them helped her to open many avenues to learn how to handle certain situations. She proved that she was both a self-starter and a team player. She has been decorated seven times for her efforts.
Samantha realized that a career is not everything, and had relationships outside of work. The death of her father was hard on her, and she didn’t let herself get as close. She entangled herself more into her work and her career. Her closes relationships were with people associated with the Stargate program. Carter cares about people and is always ready to lend assistance. Samantha looks past people’s quirks, and looks at them more about the knowledge they provide. In many ways she sees herself as quirky as the other scientists she works with. Every person plays a part in the success of whatever project she works on. Samantha is a leader because of these values she has about people. She puts everything she has into whatever she is doing.
