Wormholes

A Wormhole basically takes space and time and hacks and cheats its way through it. Basically take a sheet of paper write a and b on 2 of the corners across from each other. Fastest way from A to B is a straight line. Now take the paper and bend it so A and B touch. That is what a wormhole does.

Distortion of Space

Basically what happens is you drop a HUGE, when I say huge I mean an insanely large amount of mass at any given point in space. What space does is it bends around objects made of mass. When you drop this big amount of mass it will distort space making the distance between point A and B apart. To visualize this take your piece of paper off the table and have someone else hold it on A and B. Then take a weighted object and put it in the middle of A and B. The distance from A to B should be extremely shorter.

Faster then Light Travel

Einstein did say that the speed of light is the ultimate speed limit he thought it would be impossible to go faster then light due to the fact his equations showed we needed infinite energy to go at those speeds. What if we could get the space to move though instead of the ship or craft? Lets say we put the craft in a bubble and then contracted the space infront of the craft and expanded the space behind it well the craft wouldn’t really be moving at all space would!. The ship or craft would basically ride it like a wave all the way to where it needed to go and it could go Faster then the speed of light! Take your Point A to B paper and draw a straight line. That is how this method would work.

Boring Multi-Generational Crew

The boring way is they could have a crew male + female unless aliens asexually reproduce or reproduce another way and they could spend a lot of time traveling fast(1/3 to about 2/3 the speed of light) to get here in a few decades. This would use probably some sort of plasma or ion rocket system.
