Want to find your passion – then follow your curiosity.
The pursuit of your curiosity is the secret to your success…
“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.Online Editor Help” – Albert Einstein
Are you confused, lost and have no idea what drives you? Have you lost your passion and zest for life? Are you in a constant struggle to find your lifes destiny?
As Elizabeth Gilbert states with clarity. “Well take a break from finding your true passion and destiny, follow your curiosity instead. So here’s my weird bit of advice: If you’ve lost your life’s true passion (or if you’re struggling desperately to find passion in the first place), don’t sweat it. Back off for a while. But don’t go idle, either. Just try something different, something you don’t care about so much. Why not try following mere curiosity, with its humble, roundabout magic? At the very least, it will keep you pleasantly distracted while life sorts itself out. At the very most, your curiosity may surprise you. Before you even realize what’s happening, it may have led you safely all the way home – back to the essence of your true self..”
Perhaps one of the most essential characteristics of a blissful life, is to follow your curiosity. Peter Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland and Curious George all did it – sure they may have got off the track for a while, but there was always big lessons to be learned from their curiosity.
Great ideas and experiences come from good questions. Its a powerful tool to use questions as a starting point in getting the life you dream. If you don’t know the answer or if it intrigues you, then follow it up, it may just take you somewhere new.
It’s easier to be curious when you go out of your way to see new things. It means noticing something that you have never noticed before, its about looking for the small beauties in everyday life. It means next time you go to collect your mail from the mailbox, look around you, be present in the mmoment and notice the smell of the flowers, the children riding their bikes or the elderley couple going for a walk and holding hands. It means visiting someplace in the higher conscienceness that you have never visited before.
The more you look around and expose yourself to different people, places, and things, the more curious you will become. Therefore more questions will come to you that you need to explore. Push yourself to see the unseen, hear the unheard, touch the untouchable. Open yourself up to the universe, which will create endless possibilities for you. You will be taken to places other people don’t. You will be exposed to things other people only dream about. With this comes responsibility to ask questions, follow your heart, and listen to your intuition so that you can make the right decisions for your life.
Awaken your curiosity, questions will arise, you will then explore the questions and then you will unveil your true passion. You will learn what you like and don’t like, you will know what you believe or don’t believe and most importantly you will get to know yourself better.
Following curiosity can get tough. Because to be curious, you have to admit that you don’t know what you’re doing, or where you’re going.
You probably have other things that need to be done, and plenty other sensible directions to follow. And when someone asks you what you’re up to, it’s hard to justify doing something out of sheer curiosity.
But if you keep exploring, and trusting your curiosity to lead you where it will, you will make some interesting discoveries. Every so often, your curiosity will develop into interest, fascination and enthusiasm.
And once in a while, you’ll discover something amazing.
My advice to you – next time when a new idea piques your curiosity, even if you can’t see any relevance to your other activities, give it the benefit of the doubt and follow it up. Just for the hell of it. You never know where it will take you.
