The Internet is The “New Normal” for Sickos

Hoaxes are not funny.  They really show how ill-bred some of us  can be.  When I read the title of Bill Cosby Dead, for a moment my heart skipped a beat, the words Bill Cosby and dead just shook me up a bit too much but it was only a nana second.  But who needs that even!

Mr. Cosby is alive and well.   And that is good news.  Facebook, this medium that has allowed so many rumors, attacks, spying and stalkings,and far worse,  naturally also allows people to put up statuses as they choose.  I don’t think there is a Moderator that ever existed to control this mess. Therefore someone was allowed to easily put up a Status of Mr. Cosby’s death early, early this morning, August 28, 2012.  I almost wrote about it and entitled it “Mr. Cosby Alive and Well” but I didn’t even want to identify with such a Hoax but I did want to discuss it.

Reese Witherspoon, Usher, Rihanna, are also Hoaxes that occured earlier this month.  This is tantemount to the Death Articles that I have seen here on Triond.  I mean, I might need some traffic but I am never going to start off an article this way without fact.  But it could have been articles on the same types of hoaxes that will create such a title. 

You won’t see a News Channel tell you that someone is dead who is not.  For all that the the News drives me nuts because there is so much bad news, they still try to be as responsible as they can.  This is why shooting from the hip as they say when you are speaking of something that is not true, is so wrong.

The Internet is very much an irresponsible place to get news unless you go to tried and true methods of News Deliveries by our treasured Newspapers that are now online for view.  There are also approved and responsible sites other than the newspapers to get the scoop.  There is also too much recklessness.  So thanks for listening to this one.  Boy, writing is a beautiful thing!
