Bill Nye Lives…again

For the third time now, Bill Nye became the target of an online hoax that declared he died.  Last year there were two of such rumors that also circulated online and each time they were proven to be false.  It is no longer funny getting hoaxes like this and especially to see a person who virtually died and also virtually rose from the dead 3 times.  Some people just have the nerves to create online news that are not true and though seems funny and entertaining at times, it becomes annoying and a waste of time if done several times.  Whoever released such false information could be in it for some views but it is temporary as it can quickly turn into lost credibility especially of the website that featured this hoax.  

A good number of online writers follow google trends to see what’s hot and what’s not and it is a source of information as well as articles to be written online.  But for some people, they are imaginative enough to make and dictate what should be the trend even for a day.  They don’t just follow what’s the trend but actually make one for people to follow.  Sometimes the desire to “make waves” get the best of them and they come up with weird ideas like the death of Bill Nye just to have people rushing to find out what happened.  

Internet marketing seems to be expanding more on the side of what we normally call as blackhat in the old days.  But experts in this field try not to be identified by search engines using blackhat  marketing so they just create really good content that follow standards set by search engines only this time, it is the viewers who get tripped.  Oh well, it is part of a free-for-all system and at least we know that the news is grounded and Bill Nye the Science Guy is still alive and kicking.
