The atoms size is amazingly low. 6.02×10 to the 23 power atoms equals one mole.

6.02×10 to the 23 power= 602000000000000000000000 atoms.

So lets say you have 12 grams of carbon, which is about the same weight as 3 quarters. You have 1 mole in that entire thing thats an immensly large number of atoms.

Think about it like this: Atoms are mostly empty space. Most would ask then if everything is made up of atoms then why when we put our hand on a desk our hand doesnt go through? The answer is that there are so many atoms densly compacted together that you can keep your hand there and bang all you want.

Thought to Wonder

Something I have wondered for a long time is what is inside the subatomic paritcles. I think that there is something similar to our universe inside each. Becasue if there was just empty space like a vacum then how could they have charges?
