Ramanujan
Ramanujan is a Hindu mathematician, MASTER of the world, when speaking about the estimations on the “perimeter of an ellipse”. Dead 1920.You must have read Thales theorem, generalized;Thales-N3 Proof and ellipse’s perimeter estimations on TRIOND.COM.
Kepler (1609), MacLaurin(1742), Euler(1773) have started an ellipse perimeter estimation trend. Many mathematicians proposed their formulas. Many of them are similar, many are
an optimized version of Ramanujan’s Formula. Briefly, Ramanujan is their MASTER.
In 1959 a new exact Formula was launched. L1=(1+TAN^s)^(1/s)
This formula was not only for the ellipses,
but for all the astroids expressed by (x/a)^r+(y/b)^r=1
It was an equivalent of the elliptic finite integrals, and was due to Thales enlarged theorem Have you read it ?
No one of our times mathematicians paid attention to understand what is [s].
Why?
All of them considered this new formula as an approximation formula. It was not.
Here is a comparison graph of Ramanujan’s estimation and the estimations reached with this new exact formula (2009). Field (1<10) is considered .For an enlarged field
accuracies are worst on Ramanujan side
.
Even today, it is clear, Ramanujan is MASTER when (2,5
Who will reach to TAN=2 or Tan=1,5 ?
You may reach it, with your propositions. Go!!!
