How The Logo of The Apple Was “Born”
Anyone ever wonder why Apple has a bitten apple as its logo? Here is the answer.
Many people believe that the symbol of the bitten apple of Apple, comes from the sad story of Alan Turing, the man who made the foundations of today’s computers, researched about artificial intelligence and solve puzzles-codes of the Germans during the Second World War.
Turing committed suicide in 1954, sidelined in relation to the tremendous professional contribution, when faced with imprisonment because of homosexuality. He finished his life by injecting venom into an apple and eating it. The symbol of Apple is said to be the bitten apple, as a honour from the creators of the company to this scientist.
Although, Rob Janoff states that he did not design the bitten apple logo due to Alan Turing. He says that it was just a coincidence, just like the theory of the apple being the apple that Eve took a bite of, or the apple that hit Newton.
He also said that bitting an apple is something that everyone can experience and that made him create the famous logo of Apple.
