Decimals can be hard to add sometimes. For instance, 127.007 + 335.091. Average people would take out a calculator and do the math. I am here to tell you a secret i use to do problems like above in my head faster than a calculator! There are a few steps to doing problems like this:

1. Add WHOLE #’s first (makes the problem much easier and gets rid of the big #’s)
2. Remember the sum of the WHOLE #’s (in this case it would be 462)
3. Add the DECIMALS ( 0.098)
4. Add them together to get the final product of 462.098
