Be a Fake Math Wizard in Three Minutes
Be A Fake Math Wizard in Three Minutes.
This is a very simple, yet very interesting math trcik that I kept since my childhood years. I am so proud that I always entertained people when sharing the trick to them. I seldom teach people the technique for this but I decided to share this to the world now. Here it is:
- It is a trick about knowing the sum of numbers in just a blink of an eye.
Step 1: Let a friend write two sets of three-digit numbers in column.
ex:

Step 2: You must see the sets of numbers written by your friend. Take the first set (235) and deduct it by 2. So, (235-2= 233) then add the sum to 2000. Therefore, 2000+233 = 2233. Be sure to keep this sum or write it in secret in a piece of paper without the knowledge of your friend.
Step 3: Below the second set (658), put your own three-digit number. Write it as fast as you can. Making it look like this:

So you have added your own three digit number. The trick actually starts when you added those numbers. Take a look at the individual sum of the second set of 3-digit number and the third set of 3-digit number respectively.

The individual sum should be 9. This is the secret.
Step 4: Let your friend write another set of 3-digit number below the third set.

Step 5: Below the fourth set of 3-digit number (295). Again, write your fifth and final set of three digit number. Again, make sure to have an individual sum of 9. Then, let your friend find the sum of the sets of 3-digit numbers.

Take at look the final sum of the sets of 3-digit numbers. Isn’t it the same to the number that you kept or wrote in a piece of paper in step number 2? Right after your friend got the sum, give him the piece of paper where you wrote your guided sum
. Your friend will surely appreciate your trick and wish to have another one.
