Calculate Solving Time of a Big Cube (4×4x4 and Above)
Here is how to calculate your solving time of a big cube.
So, you ever wondered how much time it might take you how to solve big cubes? Here it is…(there’s a diagram below which some people might find easier to follow).
multiply (number of seconds takes to solve a 3×3x3) by (number of how many pieces in one edge, which is 3 in a 3×3x3) and divide it by 54 and multiply by 6 and multiply by (number of how many pieces in one edge, which is 3 in a 3×3x3) and multiply by (number of how many pieces in one edge, which is 3 in a 3×3x3) again and divide by 2.6 or 2.9 or 3 just not below 2.6 but not more than 3
**NOTE: the last part which is dividing by 2.6 or 2.9 or 3 depends on your skill. If you know you can do it like you are able to do it on virtual rubiks cube software without any “lag” between algorithms, then go with 3 or 2.9. If you are sluggish, go with 2.6.**
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So if i were to calculate a 3×3x3 solving time (which is i know is 45) i do:
45 * 3 / 54 * 6 * 3 * 3 / 3 or 2.8 = 45 or 48.21
for a 7×7x7 like the V-CUBE 7
45 * 7 / 54 * 6 * 7 * 7 / 3 or 2.7 or 2.6 = 571.66 seconds or 635.19 or 659.62
***NOTE: The underlined and ONLY underlined numbers (no bold or italics) are the ones replaced (the 3 and the 7).***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, to convert those seconds, just divide it by 60 and you got the minutes…so…
571.66 seconds = 9.53 minutes (9 and almost a half minutes) or 9:32 (I think)
You may use an online calculator. Just google “seconds to minutes converter” and you’ll probably get what you want.
Hope i helped!

You may also use the diagram to help you:
R= Number of Seconds it takes to solve a 3×3x3 rubik’s cube
Ep= Number of pieces in one edge like 3 pieces for the 3×3x3 rubik’s cube or 7 for a V-Cube 7.

this is stupid. I can regularly do a 3×3 in 45 seconds. I have yet to break 12 minutes on a v-cube 7. This is just fancy boy math.
The world record holder should be able to solve a v-cube 7 in just over two minutes according to this. That is if his solve on a 3×3 is 10 seconds….which it is. His time is 227 seconds on the V-Cube 7. This formula is garbage.

That means you have to divide it by 2.6 since your just a beginner i bet
