Weather “U” Lesson 24 Climate of The Earth
This is the final lesson of my book. It will explain important things about Climate.

First, when it comes to climate we must understand that Latitude plays a huge part in weather. For example a place that is further north will have colder winters, while a place further south will have warmer winters.

Now we look at the impacts of water on climate and weather. A place like Seattle WA will have mild winters while a place along the Gulf Coast will have warmer winters and this is because of the ocean water temps are warmer in the Gulf of Mexico.

Also elevation has an impact on Climate/Weather. If you take a place that is higher in elevation such as Denver CO and a place along the Atlantic Ocean that is at the same latitude however different elevations you will see that the place along the East coast will be milder in the winter than Denver CO.

Now we look at a feature known as EL-Nino and how it impacts our weather patterns and short term climate.
What makes El-Nino is in the Pacific Ocean is normally cold ocean waters are found along the east coast of both the US and South America especially near Peru. However, when El-Nino occurs warmer waters start to form near Peru which can have a major impact in daily life of that region from fishing operations. Also we notice a trend for more precipitation to start occuring in the Eastern portion of the Pacific.

Here are some things to look at when working with Climate and predicting the future of weather on the earth.

Now to the final review!!!
Enjoy the weather and everything that you have learned through this long course
