There are those who believe that when the moon passes near us that the earth jumps up to great her and thus are spawned all manner of volcanoes, earthquakes, floods, tidal waves, tsunamis and hurricanes.

If we look deeper into the phenomenon we can see things getting curiouser and cruiser.  There were some unexplained die offs of larges numbers of birds and fish.  There are some scientists who viewpoint is on the periphery or fringe of science who say that when animals en masse act strangely this presages an earthquake.

Thus we have a number of researchers who says things like when the sun and moon align temblors, Armageddon and apocalypse stalk the earth.

A lesser number of researchers believe that planetary alignment can have gravitational effects on the earth and give rise to earthquakes.

As “proof” of their assertions that heavenly bodies affect the earth in a deleterious manner some point to the juxtaposition of the Indonesian and Japanese quakes and tsunamis and hurricane Katrina to super moons
