Mysterious Ley Lines

These lines were geometrically perfect and would have been initiated and planned thousands of years ago. How in this ancient world could they have had such a masterful degree of geodetic awareness of this information that spanned over hundreds of miles?

What are Ley lines and how are they found?

Alignment is the name given to the lines that are visible on a map or on the landscape. Old churches, castles, holy trees and death roads would have been built on these.

Ley line is thought to be the name for energy paths on which the pagan or Christians built their sanctuaries on.

The lines lay on the surface of the ground not underneath.

All over the world we have straight lines running for hundreds of miles through places of ceremonial sites and sites of cultural interest. The straight lined alignments date back for thousands of years.

The name Ley lines was first introduced in England after it was noticed that many sites, places of interest and villages had the word Ley at the end of their name, these places were all in a straight line.

One of the most amazing discoveries about the Ley lines happened in France. Here a tiny Village was found to be at the centre of a Ley line system that radiated out to include dozens of sites, towns, villages, that all had similar names all built on straight lines running for many square miles.

These lines were geometrically perfect and would have been initiated and planned thousands of years ago. How in this ancient world could they have had such a masterful degree of geodetic awareness of this information that spanned over hundreds of miles?

Ancient Greek sites, which were intricate networks not just, connected through straight lines but through the ratio of their distances apart. We would have computer aid for these now days, how did they know at which precise point to build?

The only clear path of the Ley lines is on a map. In London everything of interest is always 666 meters from the next place of interest. For example

Buckingham Palace to Westminster Cathedral is 666 meters

Buckingham Palace to Victoria Station is 666 meters

Downing Street to New Scotland Yard is 666 meters

Queen Victoria Memorial to Duke of Wellington Memorial is 666 meters.

Image via Wikipedia

And the list goes from home of the Prime Minister 10 Downing Street to, National Gallery is 666 meters, St James Street is 666 meters, Scotland Yard 666 meters, St James’s Palace 666 meters, Home Office 666 meters, The Old County Hall 666 meters, again. And this goes on in cities all over the world. Its like it was all mapped out for us right from when time began.

Today New Age occultists everywhere have adopted the Ley lines. They believe the Lay lines have power, a special psychic or mystical energy. Maybe that’s how our Ancestors managed to work out where the Ley lines ran, after all their minds were more open to embrace the mystical than ours are today.

What happens when two Ley lines cross? What kind of energy is unleashed then?

All lines have different energy and cross there own kind many times all over the world, most crossings are weak but it can be a very strong energy in places. They are junctions for energy crossing.

What better place could the Egyptians choose to build the pyramids than on a place with lots of strong energy, on a Ley line crossing. Perfect for worshiping their gods. Stone circles, burial mounds, and other sacred sites, cathedrals, churches, around the world are all built on a Ley line crossing.

I watch a tv programme about a man who disappeared into thin air out of a locked room. He was later found dead by following ley lines. A very interesting and well written article.

@Francois – I believe the general consensus among scholars is that the correct number is 616, and that 666 was an error.
    @Lilyrose – Very interesting article.

    thanks for the comments.

the 666 just happened to be the number of meters of the buildings are apart in London, else where they could be 456, 753 or other numbers, I just picked London because I live only a couple of hours away!

I had never heard of Ley lines. So many things the ancients knew that we have lost. you would think that we keep our knowledge and add to it but we are forever losing the old ways. It’s such a shame.

What can we say of the song of the ley –
Sounding so faintly, and so far away?
Echoing hauntingly over the land –
Ever elusive, yet ever at hand.

Song of the joys and the sorrows of earth,
Singing of death, yet constant rebirth –
The face of the ley may change over time,
But the song of the ley is eternal, sublime.

Life in its fulness, and death with its pang,
Love of the mother, and carnivore’s fang –
Life in entirety, darkness and light,
Song of all gentleness, song of all might.

Earth is the Mother, and Earth is the Force –
Earth of all life the umbilical Source –
Earth is the Cycle, as night follows day,
And the song of the Earth is the song of the ley.

Mountains and continents, oceans and seas –
Hurricane, earthquake and soft summer breeze –
Song of all being, to time without end,
Song of all songs the ultimate blend.

Taking, transforming the crude works of man –
Weaving them into its intricate plan –
Whether the knowledge be little or great
The song of the ley makes the crooked way straight.

    Jimmy Goddard

    Very cool article Lilyrose :-)
