Jurassic Park a Reality. Are We Playing God?

You’ve seen the film Jurassic Park, right. A huge box office film with plenty of sequels that like all sequels, didn’t do much for the whole reputation of the film.

Ever wondered if Jurassic Park could actually be real?

Me too.  And yesterday, news was announced that scientists have actually created a real life Jurassic Park. Not on the same scale of course, but it’s certainly something that some of you may find worrying.

Biologists Matt Harris and John Fallon have been experimenting with the idea since 2005 and it has been leaked that they have created what is known as a Sinosauropteryx.

This is the Sinosauropteryx we are looking at:

The Biologists, Matt Harris and John Fallon, were not entirely sure when they started the testing, which dinosaur the DNA was from. However they were certain that it wasn’t one of the larger dinosaurs like the T-Rex, due to specific particles and genes found in the DNA. All they knew was that they had the knowledge and equipment to try and breed a dinosaur.

This now begs for a more important question.

Where does this stop and who gives us the right to ‘play’ God?

For scientific purposes, and for possible future prevention of cures, I am all for it. But where does it stop, and who decides how far we are allowed to go?

I recommend watching this documentary. It certainly makes your mind wander, and the possibilities are both exciting and scary.

  • In mid-May, the Sinosauropteryx is due to be revealed to the world.

If it’s a Republican, it’s OK to play God… Since they own God ( and No one else does!)

Probably but how can one own something that doesn’t even exist?
