Can We Bring Life Back to Mammoth?
Mammoths are extinct animals which lived many hundreds of thousands of years ago on Earth. Their discovery it through their fossils and carcasses preserved in Northern parts of Earth. Now scientists say it is possible to bring them back to life.

We know elephants very well. They are noted for their larger size among land animals. It is not very cruel like a Lion. It is common to have elephants of 120kgs even just after birth. This is what makes them very special. Of course the trunk must also be noted. And the trumpet like natural but alarming sound it can make. That sound can shake us to alertness when resting in a forest. Think about it.

Now there was a different species which looks like an elephant but has larger hair all over its body. That is called mammoth. This is mainly notable for its curved and long tusk. An elephant has small sized tusk but it is not very much curved. The mammoth’s tusk looks longer and curved, creating a little scary appearance. Don’t fear they are no longer found living anywhere on Earth.

Most notably its carcass found in icy Siberia is what best described it. Its name comes from Russian mamont. The woolly mammoth as I said having large hair, is actually the last one before the species became extinct. It is not clearly noted when they became extinct. That could be due to lack of enough statistical evidence. But we can note that they became extinct in the last Ice age about 12000 years back.

To bring it back to life scientists have chosen the way of cloning. They have preserved the tissues of this species from the already preserved carcasses found in Alaska and Siberia. Earlier they have done experiments on rat species. After 15 years from the time the rat has died, one tissue was taken from its body. The scientists have preserved the rat’s dead body for 15 years. They do this for many species as part of their research and we should not be surprised by this.
The nucleus from the tissue is taken and placed in the egg of a female species whose nucleus was taken out. How exactly it is done is a different topic. This resulted in a new rat which just resembled the earlier rat that died 15 years ago. But to accomplish this we need a living animal of that species. There it ends. But scientists are optimistic.
They say that they will get mammoths to life by using living elephants. Now this is a creation of hybrid species. This can have bad consequences also. Nevertheless if it succeeds as does the popular “dolly the sheep” experiment, then we can soon find a hairy elephant in our nearest zoo!

scientifically it would be huge if they were able to bring them back, but to bring back an animal that nature has chosen to eliminate brings me to think the horrors of `Jurassic Park`. Nice pic of the kid by the way..

If you have noticed, the second picture, the kid looked so cute and fun, that I couldn’t resist putting here. It is still relevant because he wore an elephant suit that has nice ears and tusks.

Don’t worry N.S.B., they can kill people, but it is rare.Despite this, they are plant eaters.Always.They never kill animals to eat them.Just to keep from being beat up.But they don’t eat them afterwards. There is a panther at a reserve that likes grass, but mammoths might only prefer plants.
