Weather U Lesson 1:
Subject: Basic Cloud Identification
The photo to the left shows you what Cumulus Clouds look like. These types of clouds are found between 2-3,000ft above the ground. Cumulus Clouds are usually a sign of nice weather no rain or snow. These clouds also mean that on the weather map there is a High pressure somewhere close to you.
Towering Cumulus Clouds which can be seen on the left here. These clouds are a larger form of cumulus and usally are a darker cloud and do bring rain with them as you can see in the photo there is rain falling from the cloud. These clouds are a more warm weather type of cloud that you can see most often in the summer or in Florida.
Cumulus-nimbus these clouds mean business when you see these clouds in the sky prepare for some bad weather in and near them. These types of clouds are associated with Severe Weather such as Strong Winds, Hail, Lightning, and even Tornadoes. So the next time you see these clouds be ready for the weather to get bumpy…
