Warning Signs of Tsunamis

• Earthquakes can be felt.
• Sea may be bubbling.
• Water may be unusually hot.
• Water may smell differently of rotten eggs, petrol, or oil.
• Water may recede rapidly and in large distances.
• The water may sting skin.
• Flash of red light can be seen near the horizon.

If any of these signs occur to you, you should move to higher ground or inland to avoid the dangers of a tsunami.

Where Do Tsunamis Usually Hit?

Tsunamis usually hit at countries bordering the Ring of Fire. To name some parts there is South Asia, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islands.
