The Eye of The Hurricane
The general shape of the eye would normal appear to be like a hole in a bagel,it could be as small as about 8km or the last biggest recorded is about 160km.
Hurricanes can sometimes be very unpredictable from where there headed to the size, anything can happen ,but the one thing that doesn’t change in shape is the eye of the hurricane, its like a whole in a bagel, sizes maybe varied because you have to take into account that the weather changes cold to warm ,it is said that when looking at it you may even see light being filtered through. At the surface winds spiral inwards towards the centre of the eye. As the weather changes the level of pressure is at its lowest inside the eye.The level of this pressure is one way to determine the intensity of the hurricane. The normal air pressure is about 1000mb,the pressure can often inside a hurricane drop to near 950mb,and sometimes get to below 900mb. Even in satellite images they show a well-formed hurricane to be quite spectacular to look at, there are pilots who fly with scientists and report that it gives the clouds an impression of being in a huge round stadium.
