Nasa Filmed a Tornado The Size of Earth on The Sun (Video)

A NASA satellite has captured recently a spectacular: a tornado the size of Earth across the Sun.

NASA filmed a tornado the size of Earth on the Sun (VIDEO)

The video was recorded by satellite Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), the tornado occurred between 7 and 8 February, over a period of 30 hours.

Earth size tornado traveled on the Sun at a speed of 500,000 kilometers per hour, said Terry Kucera, sun physicist in NASA.

“Temperature recorded inside a tornado is relatively cold, just 8,300 degrees Celsius,” said Kucera.Temperature recorded in Sun corona is normally more than one million degrees Celsius.

Scientists know of the existence of these tornadoes solar for decades, but their detailed observation was possible only after the SDO satellite was launched into space.
