Biogeochemical Cycles
On the hydrosphere, lithosphere, and more.
Hydrosphere
All the components of water present on earth include bodies of water such as oceans and include the presence of water in the atmosphere e.g. vapour, hail, rain etc.
Lithosphere
The rigid upper layer of the earths crust consisting of soil and rocks.
Atmosphere
The layer of gas that surrounds the earth. Also concerns water, climate and mass of air pressure e.g. altitude.
Biosphere
Region of land, ocean and atmosphere that supports living organisms. It concerns the complexity of living organisms interacting with each other.
Abiotic Environment
The non-living chemical and physical factors in the environment. This includes things such as water, sunlight, oxygen, temperature, soil and climate.
Biotic Environment
The living organisms within an environment including plants and animals.
Trophic Levels
This describes the position that an organism occupies in a food chain, with relation to their predators and prey.
