The hype about December 12, 2012 is over and the next one that deals with the end of the world is Doomsday, which is May 21, 2011. Is the end of the world really going to start on May 21, 2011 with a massive and powerful earthquake and will eventually die on October 21, 2011? See the predictions and find out whether these are correct…
Earlier there were speculations that the world is going to end on December 12, 2012, now it is May 21st, 2011; May 21, 2011 is termed as Doomsday. What exactly is Doomsday; is the world really going to end on May 21, 2011?
Marie Exley is a veteran of U.S. Army and she campaigned about Doomsday warning. How did she knew about May 21, 2011 Doomsday? She is a member of independent churches in the U.S that preaches using radio and internet. They say that there are strong predictions in the Bible about Doomsday.
Harold Camping – The Man Behind the Doomsday Prediction
WikipediaHarold Camping, President of Family Radio Christian Network strongly believes that the end of the world will start on May 21 and end on October 21, 2011. A group of 10 Christians started a project named “Project Caravan” and started this promotion; they call themselves ambassadors. His followers believe that nearly 200 million people will be raptured on May 21, 2011.
Harold Camping – Why is sure about May 21, 2011 as Doomsday?
In the website of the independent churches, they claim there are two proofs that indicate Doomsday to be May 21, 2011; what are these proofs?
Proof 1: Noah’s great flood in 4990 BC
It is believed that one day for God is 1000 human years; which means 7 days equals 7000 years. According to the church, Noah’s great flood happened exactly 7000 years ago, which was 4990 BC and it seems God told Noah that exactly in 7 days a flood would begin; it is believed that 7000 years has passed and the day is May 21, 2011.
Proof 2: Calculation from April 1, 33 AD
The day of crucifixion was April 1, 33 AD and it seems there are 722,500 days to May 21, 2011 from April 1, 33 AD; this signifies May 21, 2011 as Doomsday. What is there in 722,500 days? According to Harold Camping, the equation and argument is as follows:
- Christ is said to have hung on the cross on April 1, 33 AD. The time between April 1, 33 AD and April 1, 2011 is 1,978 years.
- If 1,978 is multiplied by 365.2422 days (the number of days in a solar year, not to be confused with the lunar year), the result is 722,449.
- The time between April 1 and May 21 is 51 days.
- 51 added to 722,449 is 722,500.
- (5 × 10 × 17)2 or (atonement × completeness × heaven)2 also equals 722,500.
The argument of the Church is that in Bible, the meaning of these numbers is as follows:
- a) 5 signifies atonement or redemption
- b) 10 signifies completeness
- c) 17 signify equaling heaven.
May 21, 2011 – Earthquake at 6 pm
It is predicted that there will be a massive earthquake on the 21st of May, 2011 and would be the most powerful and the worst earthquake in the history. It is believed that those who die in this massive and powerful earthquake on May 21, 2011 will go straight to heaven and those who do not die will have to bear the sufferings till October 21, 2011, which is 153 days of “death and horror” sufferings.
Harold Camping’s earlier prediction September 1994
Harold Camping earlier predicted September 1994 where the date was either 4th of 6th of September to be the end of the world, but this didn’t happen; when he was questioned about the same he admitted it to be a mathematical error.
Will this calculation be a mathematical error too? Will the world really start its end on May 21st, 2011? Is May 21, 2011 Doomsday? We need to wait and watch to know more about the same.
